A high intensity cardiovascular and conditioning workout. Boxing is one of the best ways to strengthen and stimulate core stabilizers. Foot work is very important in boxing and the power to a punch actually starts in the legs. Learning combinations, how to through punches correctly, how to slip, bob/weave, roll, and counter are some of the exciting techniques you will learn in this class.
Circuit training, tabata intervals, and conditioning will get you tone and fit. This class is very high energy and a fun workout!
This class is 30 to 45 minutes of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) or Tabata-interval training. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning. Tabata interval training uses 20 seconds of ultra-intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. Stations are used in a circuit including such exercises as box jumps, jump rope, kettle bell swings/cleans, dumbbell pushups/rows, burpees, etc.
